On fire at Tumba
Posted on: 1 September
The skies may have been grey and the breeze cold enough for brass monkeys, but nothing was stopping some hot golfers from setting the Tumbarumba Golf Course on fire at their annual tournament yesterday, Sunday 31 August.
Well done to Alex Lilly and his team, who organised the event despite the pressure of his wife giving birth to their third child on the Monday before the event. Although it must be said, Shyanne Lilly did have the tougher job. Congratulations to Alex, Shyanne, and the Tumba team.
Some outstanding scores were recorded on the day: Jake Burgun 42pts; Sharon Burgess, Pat McAlister, and Allan Atherton 39pts; Tony Castles 38pts, to name a few.
Well done to those who took home prizes. Congratulations to all those who attended the event; you are all champions.
